Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
This policy covers this website (iqbalthalayad.com) and the bookings and payments made through it, for both Village Info apps and Mess Book Premium passes. Where they differ, each has its own section below. The apps themselves have their own privacy policies, listed at the end of this page.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Muhammed Iqbal, Kerala, India. Contact: iqbaltld@gmail.com or +91 97473 10376.
2. What I collect
When you browse this website
This website has no sign-up, no advertising trackers and no cookies for tracking. On the homepage and the Village Info and Mess Book pages I count visits and steps (page opened, payment pop-up opened, Pay tapped, paid) with my own simple counter. It stores the time, the page, where the link was opened from (for example a WhatsApp link) and an anonymous code that changes every day; it does not store your IP address, name or contact details. Like every website, the hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited, for security and to keep the site running. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when you load a page.
When you contact me
If you message me on WhatsApp or email me, I receive your name, phone number or email address and whatever you send me.
When you pay
Payments are handled by Razorpay Software Private Limited. You enter your payment details on Razorpay's secure checkout, not on my website. I receive your name, email address, phone number, the amount paid, the payment ID and the payment status, plus the order details I attach (see the product sections below). I never receive or store your card number, UPI PIN, CVV or bank login details. Razorpay's handling of your data is covered by the Razorpay Privacy Policy.
Village Info only
Village Info apps
- With your order: your village or organisation name and the add-ons you chose.
- To build your app: your app's name and logo, the administrators' contact details and the information to be published in the app.
- To publish your app, the app's details are shared with Google and Apple (Google Play and the App Store).
Mess Book only
Mess Book Premium passes
- With your order: the plan you chose (3 or 5 months), your Mess Book Group ID and your email address, used only to find your group, turn on Premium and confirm it with you.
3. How I use it

- To confirm your payment and match it with your order
- Village Info: to build, publish and support your app
- Mess Book: to turn on Premium for your group
- To process refunds
- To keep the records that Indian tax and accounting law requires
I do not sell your personal information, and I do not use it to send you advertising.
4. Who I share it with
- Razorpay, to process payments and refunds
- Hostinger, which hosts this website
- Google and Apple, when publishing your Village Info app on Google Play or the App Store
- Government or legal authorities, only when the law requires it
5. How long I keep it
I keep conversation and project details for as long as I'm providing a service to you, and for up to 2 years after that for support. Payment and invoice records are kept for up to 8 years, as required by Indian tax law.
6. How I protect it
This website uses HTTPS. Payments go through Razorpay's PCI DSS-compliant checkout. Access to my Razorpay, email and app admin accounts is protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication where available.
7. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask me to show you the personal data I hold about you, correct it, or delete it (except records I must keep by law). You can also withdraw your consent at any time. Contact me using the details above, and I will reply within 30 days.
8. Children
My services are for adults and organisations. I do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I will update it here and change the date at the top of the page.
10. Privacy policies for individual apps
The privacy policies for the people who use each Village Info app and my other apps, including the Mess Book app, are published separately, for example the Thalayatukar app privacy policy. Each app links to its own policy in its store listing.
